Blessed Carlo Acutis: A Model for Young Catholics

His Life and Legacy

Born in London to Italian parents on May 3, 1991, Carlo Acutis was a precocious child who showed a deep love for God from a young age. He was fascinated by the Eucharist and would often spend hours in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. Carlo also had a strong interest in computers and used his skills to create a website dedicated to documenting Eucharistic miracles.

Carlo's life was cut short when he was diagnosed with leukemia in 2006. He died on October 12, 2006, just two months before his 16th birthday. However, his legacy continues to inspire young people around the world.

Recognized as a Saint

In 2020, Carlo Acutis was beatified by Pope Francis, the first step on the path to sainthood. On May 23, 2024, Pope Francis will preside over the canonization Mass, officially declaring Carlo Acutis a saint.

A Role Model for Young People

Carlo Acutis is a powerful role model for young Catholics. He shows that even young people can live a life of faith and holiness. He also demonstrates that the internet can be used for good to spread the message of God's love.
