Theis, who has been frustrated with his lack of playing time in Indiana, will now join a Clippers team that is in contention for a playoff spot. The Clippers are currently 12-8 and sit in fourth place in the Western Conference. The 30-year-old Theis is averaging 8.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game this season, but he has not played since Nov. 11 due to a right knee injury. The Pacers have gone 4-2 in his absence. Theis is expected to be a valuable addition to the Clippers, who have been looking for a backup center behind Ivica Zubac. Theis is a solid defender and rebounder, and he can also stretch the floor with his shooting. The Clippers are scheduled to play the Pacers on Nov. 23 in Los Angeles.
